Mine showed up yesterday. "Activities" take a while to start, but once started everything runs at a reasonable speed. The thing that bugs me most about the laptop itself is the blinking wireless activity light right below the screen which I find rather distracting.

Mine arrived today. Slower than any machine I've used in 22 years of computing. Extraordinarily slow, despite my 1.5 m dsl connection. Launching slow, closing slow, browsing slow. Did I get a defective unit or is this the biggest internet hoax since (fill in the blank)?

As posted before, mine came yesterday. a few early impressions: It's damn small. Smaller then I expected in fact. My wife's 12" Mac Powerbook looks giant next to it. And, the keyboard is incredibly tight for my large hands. Something i'll adjust to to some degree, but any serious typing will require an external keyboard.
In terms of performance, it it is slow to start but once the apps are launched, it seems to move right along. Its wifi abilities are truly amazing. I'm seeing routers all over my neighborhood that I've never seen before. I got WPA working on my home Airport Extreme following the manual method and the speed is very fast.

Just got my XO yesterday! I see 3 other routers and a wireless card nearby. I also see 3 "mesh networks". I'm not sure what those are. However, it is double the number of connections I've usually seen.

I just got mine today, earlier than expected! The hardware is great, the software could use a bit of improvement (though it's really not bad). Apps are a bit slow to launch, but nothing too bad. Once they're running they're speedy enough.
The wireless connection has been amazing, far better than that of my big ol' power laptop which is in the same room.
Mine is blue O, purple X. What color combos did everyone else get?on

I think the journal is great - kind of like the "Time Machine" on Leopard. You can resurrect anything you have done in the past - right where you left off. I'm really pleased to have a new interface (sugar) to try out with various "non-computing" users, such as my 96 year old mother, and child friends. I think I should learn Linix, though.

Got mine this morning and haven't had much time t play with it - but it looks damn cool... I'm having some trouble connecting with my wireless network but I'm sure I'll get it figured out.
