Sunday Meeting

We had a great Sunday meeting at the Saturday House space. (I know, that sounds odd.)

We'll post more about the meeting activities and outcomes, but here's an early warning for the next meeting in the sidebar.

    First!

Bummed I was out of town and had to miss the fun. How did the Opera Installs go? Does anyone have Flash working well inside Opera?

I'm itching to install it, but I decided not to risk bricking my daughters new X-mas present before giving it to her, and then we promptly left for Idaho and no wireless access (Today's 1st day on-line in a week...).

Anyways - I'm looking forward to the next meet-up - and seeing some other XO's in my (Currently lonely) neighborhood view....

The Opera installs went very smoothly and lots of folks participated. SeaXO provided instructions and loaned thumbdrives containing all the needed code to:
    1)install Opera,
2)Sugarize (or sweeeten) Opera so that it can be launched from the Activity Bar,
    3)install Java Runtime
    4)install Flash plugin

Faster and more site compatible than Browser. It's all been wrapped into a .ZIP archive that can be emailed to you by letting Chris Altwegg know that you're interested.

We've been playing with Re-Imaging the XO's (destroys all data and configs) now that release 653 is out (machines shipped with version 650) and it's really easy and quick so if you did 'brick' your daughter's XO there's hope.
